I recently got this and it is fairly easy to use. I used the fajita size tortillas and it works very well. It is recommended to use ones with a diameter of 6 to 10 inches. It as easy as setting yor oven temp to 400 degrees and placing them in the oven. All you have to do is place the tortillas in the bowls and place in the oven. The only difficult part is how crispy do you want them. It is recommended for 5 to 10 minutes depending on your oven and how crispy you want. In my family, we prefer it a bit on the crispy side, so we tend to side more towards 8 to 10 minutes.

I love taco salads, but frying those bowls was NOT going to happen! Finally, here's a way to have the bowls in an easy, healthy form and it's every bit as easy as it looks on television. I have one suggestion that I think makes it even easier, though, and I hope it will help someone else: heat up your tortillas (we use flour) in the microwave for about 10 seconds on high before you form them in the pan. This softens them enough that they will "flow" right into the form---it you don't have them softened, they tear and you won't get the nice shape you want. Oh, and don't worry if your tortillas are considerably higher than the pan because they bake up just fine. I hope you enjoy these as much as we have!

I love taco salad, but I never eat the fried bowl. But you can make a BAKED bowl and now have the whole enchilada (bwahaha) without eating something with more fat than you'd really want. I hardly need to add, these taco bowls are great for parties--you can put bean dip or sour cream or yogurt dip, or guacamole in them as well, and they look cool. I have some recipe ideas for you that I use. My recipe for taco salad uses ground turkey and I make up my own spice mix or use premixed salt-free Southwest seasoning because commercial taco mix (though tasty!) is full of too much salt for me. I like to use ground dark turkey meat (boned chicken thigh works too) and saute it with the spice mix, same way you do tacos from hamburger, and then add any salt I might want. I top some chopped lettuce with chopped tomato, green onion, black olives, some diced avocado and possibly a bit of grated cheese and the hot turkey taco mix. You can also use tofu or tempeh if you are vegan and leave...

I should have bought this a long time ago when it was in stores, but there was a local grocery that carried taco salad shells. They no longer do, so I need to make my own. This is fast easy, and with a set of 4 I can make them for the family all at once. Salad shells are actually better than the ones I used to buy.

I absolutely love these... I have made Taco salads.. I also made crispy torilla shells, broke them up and had baked torilla chips with salsa.. what a healthy alternative.. I dont know how I got along without them. I cant wait to make a dessert with them.. And I must say, when I ordered I thought I was only getting 1.. imagine my surprise and delight to have received 4.. I would recommend these pans to anyone!!! Do yourself a favor and purchase them..!!!

Great for preparing a quick and easy lunch or snack, YUM!!! Just place and form you tortilla into the pan place in oven for about 5-6min. and you have the perfect shell to put all your favorites; Make and Fiesta snack that you will want to make often!!!
