works OK, hard for the kids to shake it long enough for it to be a "slushy". I end up having to shake 4 of them for the kids. Makes kind of a mess if you don't have your finger just right over the hole. Kids like it a lot and want to have them a lot....unfortunately for me!

My brother and I both love slushies so when we saw this we HAD to buy it. I have to say it taste JUST like an actual slushie plus it is really easy and fun to make! I did have have a couple problems with it though. The first one would be that the ice cubes take a LONG time to freeze. My second would be that it makes really small amounts. For example, ions can of coke fills half the cup. If your not a big sugar person I guess this wouldn't be a problem but for those of you like me who love slushies it's a little disappointing.

It's simple freeze the cubes, add the liquid, cap it, shake it. My youngest son had a hard time when we first bought it for his 6th birthday. He is now 8 and has gotten much better. It dose require lots of effort, but the end result is worth it. My only complaint is that it only had 1 set of cubes, sometimes he would want another fresh fruit slushie before the cubes were ready.

It makes a good slushy. But the drink has to be very cold to get a good slush.

I have no idea why people complain about this so much, it turned out perfect the first time! I hand washed everything, and followed the instructions. Only thing I would change is leaving the cubes in the freezer longer. 2-3 hours is Definitely NOT enough time. I would suggest even leaving it in there overnight if you can. When frozen, put cubes in and pour in drink. (Pouring colder drinks works even better), cover your finger tightly over the hole at the top of the cup and shake for 2-4minutes. If better put it back in the freezer for a couple of minutes. Also, if you pour soda into the cup, make sure you uncover your finger from the hole now and then while shaking to avoid big messes. The whole thing was a blast to have fun with, and you can almost put any favorite in it, I don't know about alcoholic beverages, but I think I'll try it soon, it's worth a shot.

Saw these and had to get it for my kids who LOVE slushies. Cubes had to be frozen longer than the time says in the directions, but once they were completely frozen they worked like a charm. The amount of beverage left in the cup isn't as much as we would hope for, but is a perfect amount for the kids.

To my surprise this actually worked really well. The liquid does have to be cold though, room temperature liquid doesn't work. The kids had a blast experimenting with different flavors/liquids. The whole thing is very quick and easy to clean. The cubes rinse right off and are ready to be frozen again. The cubes are also very sturdy. However, my then four year old had trouble with it. It needs to be shaken vigorously, and longer than a small kid can handle. I always had to do it for him. Also, it can be very very messy. The little hole in the lid has to be held closed very tightly, and sometimes we had trouble with the lid leaking where it screws on to the cup. I recommend using this in an easy to clean area.

The cubes did need to be frozen for quite a while! I found it works best if the liquid is already cold when you put it in the slushy magic. We like orange juice the best, no soda it will spew everywhere! It does leak a little occasionally, but for the most part we love it and it does what it says makes a slushy!

This item was delivered broken. Child opened the gift on Christmas. They were excited about using it only to find that it was broken and couldn't be used.
